At Mo:mentum Youth we are focused on the discipleship and growth of our teenagers and equipping them to reach out to others. A ministry of Family Church catering for 13-18 years olds, Mo:mentum Youth is the last step for youngsters in our discipleship programme spanning 0 (crèche) to 18, seeing them into their early adult years as they discover themselves in God. We can help them find their place in the life of the church and coach their personal development. It also presents a credible, youth-orientated evangelistic platform for our teenagers to reach out to others their age and express in their own words what Jesus Christ is doing in their lives.

As Mo:mentum Youth pastors, we are in submission to the parents of those involved in Mo:mentum and to the senior leaders of the church. We encourage and lead by example in all that we teach. We operate a transparent programme where parents and leaders can see what is being taught, what culture is being encouraged and we love seeing the impact on the families as people grow in their walk with God! All our volunteers are CRB checked.

At Mo:mentum we understand an important fact. The youth influence and determine our culture and we are committed to helping develop a culture founded upon dependence on God and inspiration to share the same passion for people as Jesus himself.

We always look for Youth-led-Youth. We are discipling the future church leaders, missionaries, politicians and parents. At Mo:mentum, the Youth RUN the programme. They are the worship team, they organise the bar, they set up and operate all the equipment – they’ve got it all under control! They are also encouraged to get involved in other ministries in the church and to hone their testimonies and teaching skills. (Mo:fubu– For us, by us)

It’s a diverse programme with something for everyone. Our regular meeting is Friday nights, 7.15pm to 9.30pm (except the second Friday of each month). The evening runs either as a Praise, Worship and teaching or as a social – catering for everyone.

Mo:mentum draws from other Youth Programmes, especially the Youth Alive and Audacious. We have strong links with several larger youth programmes for inspiration and to use their resources. We can help in finding development programmes and courses for teenagers to inspire and challenge them.
