What Can I Do?

Children and Young People are continually reminded of their rights and yet it can seem like they are regarded as animals with no self-control when it comes to the matter of sex.

We CAN change the culture in this country, we aim to do it one person at a time. This website is designed to help YOU make a decision to chose abstinence. When your friends see the results of your great choice hopefully they will be inspired to do the same. We believe in you and believe that you deserve better.

Teenagers are taught that if you use condom you can explore your sexuality safely and without consequence, hopefully as you've browsed this site you've learned that that's the opposite to the truth. Condoms are pretty inaffective against STI and there are emotional and physical consequences of sex that you are rarely told about. Sex is amazing - in the right context... in marriage.

Get in touch with us if you've been inspired to chose abstinence, we'd love to hear from you.

Write to your MP or to a Lord

Parliment has a committment to protect young people, and simply recommending condoms is not fulfilling that committment. Condom manufacturers state that 3 in 100 condoms just don't work at all, and then they're unsure of the affectiveness of the other 97 against disease (more info here). Would you accept that kind of attitude on a ride at Alton Towers? Or would you demand to be 100% safe?

You can send an email to your MP or to a member of the House of Lords, asking them to represent your views, to help you promote abstinence, to consider the current Sex Education approach or to help change the message generally promoted within Youth Services.

If enough people speak out they will be forced to pay attention. Click here to find out how to contact your MP or Lord.

Sex and Relationships Education

Sex Education is currently taught in school with little or no regard for context. We spend our lives in relationships and yet in school we give no time to learning about them. Ask your school to include a programme such as LOVEWISE - marriage and relationship presentations to Year 9 students, and the Emotional and Physical Consequences of sex to Year 11 students.

Media

Channel 4 claims that it has "always taken a straight-talking, unflinching approach to sex". Along with it's sister channel using programmes like "Hollyoaks", "Skins" and "Adult at 14" to promote a casual approach to sex to teenagers. Does anyone else think it's insulting that television producers assume that all teenagers want to do is fulfil uncontrollable sexual urges? The first thing you can do is boycott this kind of destructive viewing, just stop watching it!

If you're really passionate about it - send Channel 4 an email, they always respond to your comments. Click Here
